And is it me - am I reading too much into Phil Brown's words but there seems to be a suggestion that had Southend known that Tyrone Barnett would "only" cost £100,000 then we (S.U.F.C.) would have been interested.

Yeah that was always the realistic size.

Probably 3 stands of 14k and the west stand will only have 2k, like Orients monstrosity opposite their main stand with the big office building with a few rows of seats at the bottom. :nope:

Yes the West Stand will be the main stand at FF. As has already been pointed out its interesting that it states 'revised' plans for the West Stand.

Dont think so, because that was the original plan, if we are revising the plan it sounds more like it wont accomodate a hotel now?

Iirc the youth facilities were planned for an area north of Fossetts way. It would appear that the dome will not be going there as the planning application is to the borough council , ie Southend. Rochford is a District council

I'm presuming a revised West stand means actually building it with the rest of the stadium...Therefore funding for 4 stands in place, just surmising on where dosh coming from

So thinking out loud here on Scott dome/West stand theory. One side of the dome would be open with a stand taking the place of the dome side???? Even coming into the dome thus roofing the stand too??
