Essex of course!
Never mind their ability, good or bad, which 11 players would you have purely for entertainment?

  1. Mervyn Cawston
  2. Hmmm...no idea here
  3. Chris Powell
  4. Alan Moody
  5. Dorrian Dervite
  6. Bilel Mohsni
  7. Ryan Hall
  8. Dru Yearwood
  9. Drewe Broughton
  10. David Crown
  11. Freddie Eastwood (433)

Well, instead of whom? It's a rum do.
In for Drewe. The entertainment levels for Roy were immense. A class footballer when in the mood and the sense of expectation from the crowd when someone fouled him and then we all held our breath waiting for the retribution!!

I'm not entirely sure what you mean here - If you're going for entertainment, then John Burridge is a shoe in for keeper.

You look more as if you're picking on merit, and then have Dru Yearwood in! I really don't understand your criteria.

The criteria? Who do/did you find most entertaining! My 11 is just a suggested one.

This. Can’t think of any player who’s caused the entire stadium to start buzzing that much when he’s got the ball, maybe Stanley for that one season. He was magic.

I was always willing someone to pass him the ball. His first touch was brilliant, foot, thigh, chest, always under control in a split second. Full of tricks and the trademark somersault celebration was something else.

Feels like there could be an Entertainers poll coming on. Run it for a week and then most votes for the top 11 gets the nod. What say you @RobM? Names can be added during the week and then a cut-off.

My favourite ever Southend player, well except for BBBC. When he got the ball and ran at players it was a joy to watch him.

Where’s Ricky Otto!!!
And Anton Otulakowski’s handstand long throw.
Colin Morris’s bandy legs.
Richard Cadette.

Ian McKechnie used to do hand stands to celebrate when we scored.
