The EU Referendum - What are the facts, Where are the facts

If they have built more then they have sold more than they have built as the stock is reducing:

Shelter:

‘The proportion of privately rented dwellings has seen a steady increase as the proportion of local authority- social rented and owner occupied dwellings has seen a corresponding decrease.’

http://m.england.shelter.org.uk/cam...and_figures/subsection?section=housing_supply

Hmmm Labour entice million's into the country yet did not build properties for them!,Labour also encouraged many migrants to buy to let knowing full well the rental cost would rise and rise!

Peculiar way to run any business let alone an entire country !

So, the idea of this thread was to provide posters with unbiased facts about leaving or staying in the EU. Then along comes mrsblue with totally unrelated bollocks and *** reacts, nice one.

What do you exactly want?

I answered on post 9 yet you have selected *** and myself as the stand out they have ruined my thread.

Sorry, I feel a need to request some kind of reasoning when she says.....things - which does fit it with the thread as it's asking for facts not fiction. But fair enough I'll go and do something useful.

Right you start a thread with the good and bad of the EU,I posted stuff which many will agree with, how is that bollocks?

The prospect of totally unbiased facts that other posters get the opportunity to read. Don't think that fits your facts, but there you go.

It has occurred to me that all of you are right, AAS in his call for further investment, RHB who started the thread who wanted facts, not opinions, and you because as you have pointed out there was under investment in the first place.

Simply put no one can say as a fact how many migrants will turn up in say June, or indeed where they will settle, how do you plan for that and provide facts to deal with that?

There is the problem !

You now have asked for further opinion which will be people's views, yet RHB will scream thread hijacker.

Its ridiculous IMO that somebody demands their thread be unscathed ,I mean RHB just the other day accused me of hijacking my own thread.

I watched question time from cardiff I think the other week - Farage was on there along with the Labour Wales bloke - Tory secretary for Wales - don't think they bothered with any LibDems TBH, anyway, like him or not he is seriously clued up on Europe and had the rest of the panel for breakfast - and I might add, he was the only panel member who had anything sensible to say on the steel industry.
Goes to show that not being a career politician makes you somewhat more interesting as you can speak from a workers perspective.

What I have said, is that the intention of this particular thread was to provide fact not opinion.

Dear old Barna, posted a wonderful link earlier which as a 'fact' stated that a 3rd of FTSE 100 companies had signed a letter saying that it was not in the interests of their businesses to leave the EU .

Now to me of course the 'Fact' is that that the remaining two thirds chose not to sign the letter....BUT it would only be my opinion as to the reasons as to why they hadn't done so, hence no need to reply on this thread as it should be opinion free.

Had a chat with Sir Teddy Taylor last night, he is a regular at the Hall. He confirmed he will be voting out. He did say that he has studied our trade figures with the EU for years and governments lie about the figures and we could get much better deal with emerging economies around the world.

One thing that is a fact, many MP's go on to earn much bigger pay in Brussels so their is a huge conflict of interest for them to support an out campaign. Rather like asking footballers to campaign for lower wages.

I doubt any MP or MEP is really doing it for the money (the real conflicts are the paying board memberships for private organisations).

I agree with you about board memberships. MEP's pay is much higher than our own, so its nice work if you can get it.

Neil Kinnock and his wife were both part of the EU gravy train. They must have been on around £500,000 a year plus those all important expenses. Now his son has also had his nose in the trough. So for a failed opposition leader he wont have to worry about his winter fuel bill in his old age.

Now I'll wager a handsome sum of guinea that he thinks the EU is wonderful.

Not from what I've seen - their basic salary is pretty much the same as an MP. They also get some personal benefits like medical cover. They do get an allowance to run an office and staff but that isn't a personal benefit.

A quick google will tell you that the Kinnocks raped us all for around £10m in their 15 years on the EU gravy train.

His wages £1.8m
Her wages £ 750.000
Office expenses £ 2.9M
Travel (first class) £1m
Leaving his job £355,00
Entertaining £64,000

And on it goes. They both claimed separate living allowances but of course lived together in Brussels. Guess what they get a pension of £183,000 per year whilst I had part of my Firefighters pension stolen by the Labour party because I'm told the country can't afford it.

Like I say MEP nice work if you can get it. Next time your on the picket line perhaps you could tell your fellow striking Doctors where they can earn a decent wage. After all.... Were all in this together.

And to me it's a fact, that so far, not a single FOOTSIE top 100 company has signed up to the leave campaign.

Goood old socialism !

Apart from shouting and screaming what did pillock oh I mean Kinnock actually do?

In what way is it damaging shrimpboy?

The fact it costs us over £12bn a year, it holds us back from trading with growing economies in the rest of the world, it's ruined our fishing industry, it's played a part in the demise of the steel industry, the strain on public services and suppression of wages caused by mass migration, I could go on... And that's just the UK. Look at the damage the EU has caused in Greece, Portugal etc. For me the costs far outweigh the benefits.
