Really good laugh in their and full of Southend which is always special.

Seen funniest thing. Loads on lads next to me can't have been older than 18 or so. Anyway one of em was execpting money to drink a "dirty pint"

He managed to raise about £12 all in silvers and drunk a pint of beer,vodka,coins,chewing cum,spit and dog ends...

You had to see it but fair play to bloke - He got in for free with all he raised. Still probably on a life support machine now but worth it to see that win.

£2.40 a pint? That is cheap compared to down here... £4.80 for a double vodka red bull in Talk now, and how Chinese restaurants get away with daylight robbery is beyond me. Went to Gold Coast for a quick meal the other night, and was fleeced nearly £5 for a bottle, yes, bottle not pint, of Becks

It is cheap compared to London / Southend, but after paying 3 quid for 2 pints in Tranmere Saturday was a shock

Seemed like a good atmosphere in there, but I was relegated to standing outside and drinking as it was so damn packed in there!

Twas a good atmosphere indeed, and for a smallish pub it wasn't that over crowded - even at capacity! Shame we wont have the chance to go back next year, unless they get their fingers out and win a few games!
