Just thinking some more about Richard Jobson. He was the player who convinced me that one player in a key position can transform a team. The key position was centre half and he was so influential. It made me think about our pairings. I desperately wanted Kieran to do well after his year out but he does play like he is terrified of getting injured. Who can blame him. However it is a key position and without a strong spine any team struggles.

I saw my first game in 1968, I can remember a few poor seasons in the 70's. 83/84 was pretty shocking. 1998 under Chipmonk was dire but we had a few good players but poor up front.
Steve Wignall's 2003 team was very poor but gave birth to the Tilson era.
For me this shower are probably the worst I have seen.
