What do people think?

A girl I work with won the "Imagine" section where the designs are a lot less technical. Though I personally question whether or not the winners' is any more achievable. Sounds grand on paper, but "a highly-manoeuvrable, zero-emissions vehicle, with solar panels built into a glass roof, full accessibility, warm lighting and wooden floors" is going to cost a fair bit?

Hopefully it will safeguard a few jobs in the motor industry though IF they build it in this country

That looks like something this fella would drive...

Nothing like thinking outside the box is there!!!

That must have taken so long o think up and cost an arm and a leg for the designers to do so

If you open the second link, I like the one that came in 3rd or 4th? Looks like a great Top Gear prototype reject.

co made by aston martin..sounds funky!! at least we all recognised it as a London bus, that'll please the traditionalist amongst us

I think its the obvious answer to the brief, but fairly decent.

If you don't keep the slightly odd front end overhanging the driver and the rear steps, then its just any other bus surely?

I question whether or not we need them though. Whilst I miss seeing them around, I almost think its better that new buses are handier for disabled / families, have more doors, discourage fare dodging and are warmer in wintertime. Plus they still run old Routemasters in Central London anyhow in tourist areas...

lucky there's not a recession on or anything, otherwise replacing all the buses for sentimentality's sake might seem like a waste of money...
