Southend United is now the most fashionable club in England with all sorts of people suddenly claiming to be life long fans and house prices in Southend doubling. In mid-March we hit a crisis and suddenly start dropping points but
Barrett is brought back in to the left back spot and the ship steadies and
we finish Champions 8 points clear with three games left.

The United Nations declares Roots Hall a World Heritage site and protects
it as a "working" stadium forever. SUFC have a successful first season in the
premiershite and just qualify for the UEFA Cup. Billy Paynter captains the
"kids" team in the league cup (we go out to Liverpool after extra time at Anfield) BUT.... (its the nightmare scenario I told you.....) our FA Cup runs ends in the third round with a home defeat to a Donogood hattrick for Col U.
