The relegation mini-league

We need to end our record against Morecambe, as we played them 11, lost 10 and draw 1, if there is an best time to get an result, it’s tomorrow.

We had an strong SUFC side under Sturrock and PB, while Morecambe was the worst side in League 2, yet they still beat us, like in last game to stop us finishing 3rd!

We Played Morecambe in the cup at Morecambe, and beat them

Tomorrow is a must win! Barrow late goal might have given us that shot of confidence we need.

Final score 1-1 we sat back for too long instead of trying to score again, we never learn!
the worst of it was, once we equalised there was no attacking at all from you - it's like you were happy taking a point rather than risking getting none by attacking and getting caught.

Morecambe are right back in playoffs if they win tomorrow, they will be right up for it especially seeing the other results around the playoff places.

Due to goal difference, we are effectively 7 behind Col U and 8 behind Barrow and with only 7 games to go.

That makes the two games against those immediately above us must wins. Anything other than 6 points from those games and the slim chance we have of staying up goes.

Of the five other games, we have Morecambe (A), Crawley (H), Exeter (A), Orient (H), and Newport (H). Our home form is shocking and the worst in the league and can at best see us getting 2 or 3 points from those home games. The away games are tough, Morecambe and Exeter are both good at home (4th and 6th best in the league) and can't see us getting anything from those games.

Best I can see us doing is 9 points from remaining 7 games. In my opinion, we are down and waiting for the bell to ring.

I can certainly see why you have picked up so many late points. After your 88th minute equaliser I fully expected Barrow to see out the game, taking no risks and very glad of getting one point. Instead, you played like a team hell-bent on getting a winner. No chance of Barrow getting relegated IMO.
