Our blue print seems to be working well. We have sold Bentley, Payne, Lenny and Dru.....Our best period of developing and profiting from young talent in the clubs history.

We have signed Humphrys, Goodship and Hutch. We have seen Bish, Elvis and Kelman all have more than just a handful of first team appearances.

Looks like Bond has signed areal talent in Ethan Hamilton......Certainly a big step up from the normal academy player......Man U must like what KB is trying to achieve......Even if many fans don't have the nerve to give it a go. Anyway I'm sure his presence will only inspire other young players at the club.

Sadly the injury curse has set back some very promising talent like Kyp.

Yet another young keeper has been noticed by England....For a lower league cat 3 club we have had very good success int he keeper department

Of course clubs like Southampton and Brentford will always be able to sign better talent from clubs like ours......Same with all professional sports and most other industries......No point in getting upset about it.

It’s money... that’s it. If we had a multi billionaire owner we would be in the championship playing in front of 12k. .

We don’t

Time to revisit this.

One of the key factors behind Southampton's success was managers who fit the Southampton way.

We've now had three managers in 18 months, all recruiting players for different philosophies.

Such a changing recruitment policy isn't a recipe for success. Players who fit one manager won't fit his replacement.

And again

This is another good article I remember reading at the time about David Moyes at Everton. Mapped out in detail the progression of his teams and focused on getting players in at the right age who would be good for the first team, but provide resale value.

There’s a lot of sense for teams like that to get good talent in under the age of 24 and sell them aged 27 or 28 for good profit. Southampton are another team who have done that well.

I’d love to see us make more signings like Kyprianou, Richard Taylor, Hutchinson. Young talent who aren’t quite good enough at that time to make it at the top level but could grow, develop and be great for us, aswell as offering good resale value. Similar to what we did with Lenny.

The Southampton Blueprint, get two owners who's combined net worth is estimated at $4 billion. Simple.

First you have to spend 50 years in the top 2 divisions, most of those in the 1st/PL..... That way you won’t have 3 times the amount of fans from your catchment area heading for London on match days.

Then when you do drop down to 3rd tier you will be the biggest fish in the pond.

Quite interested in "analysing young talent through science and analytics". When it came to deciding whether to keep on a young Gareth Bale, the coaches there voted 5-4 in his favour.
