Just seen that Karl Robinson has left MK Dons after losing to Southend. How many other managers have got the chop after losing to us?

Dave Robertson last season after the live Sky game v Peterborough
He even had to go on the Ch5 show knowing he was already sacked but public didnt know. Painful

Thought Keegan was in charge at the time.
Kevin Keegan replaced Ossie Ardiles after Newcastle had lost 5-2 at Oxford United on February 1st.1992. Oxford who were at the bottom of the league, were one place below Newcastle at that time. Newcastle also lost an F.A.Cup replay match at home against Bournemouth on penalties the week before. Keegan's first match was against Bristol City at home on February 8th. which they won 3-0.

Steve Coppell resigned from Bristol City and all of football after we beat them in the league cup a few years ago. David James was in goal.

I'm glad someone has set this thread up, great question.

....and, of course, we see the flip side on Saturday as Shrewsbury announced this morning that they have appointed Grimsby's Paul Hurst as their new boss.

Peter Reid at Plymouth

Does Peter Reid count? He seems to have had more sacks than the coalman, which makes him a pretty easy target.:winking:

Always strikes me as peculiar that in football it seems that people who have failed so badly at their chosen profession that they are sacked are continually re-employed by another club in the hope that they will suddenly become the new Messiah. Chances are that if they're rubbish at one club then they will be at the next, and the next, and the next....
