Last week saw the start of a new idea on the zone that I have called 'The SZ Saturday Gamble' where we combine the footballing prediction skills of the SZ users to help others decide how to approach there Saturday betting :)

The Rules are as follows.....

There will be 2 threads each for each Saturday the 1st being this one where I will need 15 teams nominated from the SZ users who think will win there match this Saturday.

Once the 15 have been nominated a Poll will be raised for SZ users to decide from the 15 nominated whether they themselves agree with the nomination thus some predictions will have stronger backing then others allowing gamblers to bet with a touch more camaraderie, this poll I will aim to have up by Wednesday every week leaving 3 full days for users to vote.

Each week I will do a review (sometimes on a Sunday of I am away watching SUFC) that will show how good we were that week for instance in our first trial week this was the outcome....

***FULL TIME UPDATE***

Brentford - WON
Notts County - WON
Bournemouth - DRAW
Notts Forest - WON
Everton - LOST
Norwich - LOST
Huddersfield - DRAW

Rochdale - WON
Sunderland - DRAW
Ipswich - DRAW
Barnsley - WON
Bolton - DRAW
Burnley - WON
West Brom - WON

Rotherham - LOST

7 Out of 15 Wins for the SZ Users for week 1

I also realise that there if value in selecting Draws but at the present time and to contain order I am just looking for WIN SELECTIONS ONLY

One last thing I think its fair to say if I deem a nomination to be a heavy banker i.e last week Manchester United win, I will not count it as we are looking to find value here for bets and bankers like that add little value for risk.

So they are the rules I think we can do much better this coming week so lets move forward onto week 2.

WEEK 2

As usual I need nominations from SZ users for any of the 92 clubs that are playing this Saturday 13/02/10 ONLY, This week also includes the F.A Cup now remember if you select a team in the F.A Cup to win it will be in 90 mins ONLY!! no extra time wins allowed as most bookmakers wont give prices for outright wins.

UPDATED NOMINATIONS

Huddersfield to beat Swindon
Norwich to beat Brighton
West Brom to beat Reading
Coventry to beat QPR
Millwall to beat Exeter
Southend to beat Tranmere
Middlesbrough to beat Peterborough
Northampton to beat Aldershot

Oh and mods please dont merge this thread as its quite an important one along with the poll thats follows all the other small betting chat threads you can merge but please not this!

Unless you want to give us a betting forum?

Tottenham to beat Bolton
Nottingham Forest to beat Doncaster

Are we doing overseas selections too? If so, Barcelona to beat Atlético Madrid. Atlético will very probably reach the final of the Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) tonight for the first time in 10 years. As such, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they are short of top form come Sunday night.

Barcelona look a fair price at around the 4/6 mark, even though Atlético won this fixture in each of the last two seasons.

Wait!! not yet

NEVER EVER back Bourenmouth. They are the biggest of all bogey teams and have had more ups and downs than a rollercoaster this season and have personally let me down on 4 occasions in games they were favourite

thats the point of the vote!

Daggers have lost 5 or 6 in a row, Bournemouth have had a good little run winning at Rotherham and beating Notts County.
