The Tokyo Olympic Games 2021

Absolutely smashed by the Germans in the women’s cycling team pursuit!

6 medals now guaranteed from boxing with Galal Yafai winning his bout.

Any likely golds out of that lot?

Double gold for Thompson-Herrah of Jamaica in the women’s 100/200m. Brilliant. Just a shame our own Dina Asher-Smith wasn’t out there amongst the medals.

Well two have already medalled with a bronze and Silver. I’m hoping Whittaker gets gold and Clarke. Think Yafai might get one too.

I do wonder how Clarke will cope with both of his eyes carrying cuts. It must be a psychological worry for the bloke? Loved the Frenchman's reaction to his decision, really sportsmanlike.
And so it was, stopped because of his cut eye. Rubbish way to lose, but there you go. Mind you losing was softened a bit with a bronze medal.

Frazer Clarke takes bronze after being stopped by a cut in the third. Shame but a valiant effort from Clarke.

It’s another gold in the sailing. Plus Sky Brown gets a skateboarding bronze and becomes the youngest ever British medallist.
Katerina Johnson Thompson has a mixed start to the heptathlon and it’s revealed she’s carrying an achilles problem. Hopefully still in for a medal .. it’ll be tough though.

Totally agree and may i add a very sporting man,a credit to his country and boxing.
Absolutely! He has been waiting in the wings and had to wait behind Joshua and then Joyce and done his country proud. It’ll be interesting to see if he turns pro or waits for the next olympics.

It's not revealed, she's been struggling with it for some time.

We were thrashed by the Netherlands 5-1 in the semi-final of the women's hockey so we won't be retaining our title from 2016. We'll either be playing India or Argentina for the bronze though, either of which we should have a good chance against.
