Money-wise, it’s weird that we don’t really know what players earn in these days. I worked at a car dealership a few years back and a few championship players came in to buy champagne cars for lemonade money. One striker, who had just gone from one champ side to another for £5 mil+ change, and would be rated amongst top 5 in the league, was on £13k a week according to a colleague who sorted the deal.
