Sol's made his first signing and I reckon it's a good'un.

He's a 23 year old defender who the gaffer signed previously at Macclesfield. He's been described as "commanding" and "a tank" (which I think refers to his size rather than turning ability as he's supposed to be really athletic) which is just what we need.

He scored on his debut for Macclesfield and had 2 goals in 17 appearances for the Silkmen this year. He's played variously centre-back, left wing-back, left-back and right-back.

We probably won't see him until Oxford at the earliest because of the embargo.

He may well have signed a contract, but the contract cannot be registered, i guess he can walk away if we cannot overcome the embargo.

Would assume though we are paying him in the hope this isnt an issue

He’s gone from one disaster of a club to another, glutton for punishment. He obviously holds Sol in high regard. I really hope we get to see him in a Southend shirt sometime this decade.

CP just tweeted that Osadebe has signed as well but cannot be registered, again

It's good to see these players must trust Sol. I think Sol is doing a good job so I'm interested to see how well he can do with his own stamp on the team
