This is the worst southend side ever

Ron and far to many fans thought we could be a Championship club before we had FF. We wanted 'Championship' ability, so the likes of Atkinson, Thompson and Timlin were not good enough. The budget increased with each new manager but the team ethic has disappeared along with our rather naive dreams.....The very same ones that nearly put us out of business 10 years ago.

So until FF is given the go ahead its L2 for us. If i told you how much a month Ron is stumping up right now.....None of you would believe me.......Someone will have to eventually pay that bill.

I simply don't believe the new ground will be built with RM backing it, and I think you'll find the council already now that, time for Martin to find a buyer or we might find ourself's in the lower leagues sooner then we think.God help us.

Ron was famous for continuity with the managers. Is it any coincidence that our current abysmal showing comes on the back of a managerial merry-go-round?

New managers, and backroom staff, come in and have their own ideas about things but are shackled by and saddled with players they did not want. I think we have a good amount of individual talent but there are issues with selection, the way they are set up and clearly fitness.

Sol has not had the luxury of a transfer window or a preseason. Form and injuries dictate what players are available for him to use. His hands are tied.

The new fitness regime will take more than the few weeks it has had to reap dividends. The manager needs time to work out who best to play and how. I believe this team, within another month, will look way better than it does today. Will it be enough to survive the drop? It may but it is a tough ask.

We need to see what points are on the board come January and what Sol is allowed to do in the window. All is not lost. Yet.

there isn't exactly a line of people waiting to buy a team bottom of L1 that makes a substantial loss each month. What we really need is the council to stop dragging their heels and give us some good news to cling on to.

Why do Southend council hate us so much??? Southend literally has nothing going for it, surely the football team is something they could at least support and get behind.

I’m happy to be corrected here, but let me explain my position on why I have no sympathy for the man.

If Martin fails to achieve the stadium dream, then we, as a club, will fail. Probably in the same fashion that Bury did, and all those others that went before them.

But, if Blues do go to the wall, it doesn’t mean that Martin will. It’s not the end for him. He’ll still have the deeds to Roots Hall & FF. He’ll also still have his various other companies, his big house & his Bentley.

I see our predicament as the equivalent of giving someone all your life savings, and trusting them to go into a casino & get you a return on that investment.

Currently, Ron is slouched over the Roulette table, on a downward spiral, but he’s adamant that our luck is about to change.

Can only hope Sol’s got some cracking loan signings from Arsenal lined up to come in in January. This current lot won’t get us out of this mess.

Wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep if we released the vast majority of this lot. Absolutely **** poor and their attitude is worse.

Been going since 1977 , lost count of how many games I have seen .
Totally heartbreaking to see the **** on offer now
Easily the worst team and I have seen poor 83 to 86 was crap , but at least there
Was fight
