Anyway McGleish isn't tall enough up front for your style of football. Know what I mean.

Strange you should say that - didn't see many on the way to Cardiff.

We didn't want Constantine?
A career of mediocrity for McGleish... yet he has been your top scorer for the past three seasons? You must have an incredibly low opinion of your team...

There's probably more caravans around Colchester and the North Essex area than anywhere else on the East Coast!

They were just asking for that one!

Exactly! I've been chatting to a few Col Ewe fans myself (not socialising just for football purposes!) and they said they would be gutted if he went.. hmm! Suppose that's what makes footie fascinating really, the mixed feelings of fans.

The fact he's been our top scorer doesn't say an awful lot, we haven't had a really consistent striker for the last decade, but fortunately we haven't needed one (and we're a division above Southend United).

He's slow, short and has always been found wanting against anything better than poor Division 2 defences. I will admit he's very good in the air for someone his size, but his finishing with feet is pretty poor and he's no Teddy Sheringham when it comes to creating chances for team-mates. I will be quite happy to see the back of him so we can pair Fagan with someone of similar ability, as I have no doubt will happen at some point over the close season.

I don't really understand why some of my fellow U's are so keen for him to stay, but some of it may be down to the proposed move to Southend. I'd be severely ****ed if one of our best players left us for the dark side, but as a striker with 8 league goals from open play last season, Scotty McG doesn't qualify. I don't mind him staying with us either, but only as back-up.
