"Southend United boss Steve Tilson will roll back the years tonight in the Essex Senior Cup.

The 43-year-old Blues manager is set to line-up alongside a youthful reserve side that travel to Bowers and Pitsea for the third round.

Only goalkeeper Ian Joyce has first team experience and Tilson will feature to coach from within.

The likes of Callum Whittaker and Kyle Asante found themselves on the bench last weekend to aid Blues injury crisis.

And with some of tonight's squad likely to be involved on Friday night against Gillingham in League One, Tilson will partner them at Bowers and Pitsea."
