Wanted to give some credit to Timlin following a run of decent performances from him. Remembering back to when we signed him, there was some opposition to bringing him on board and opinion was pretty much divided on whether we needed him.

But he seems to have brought some balance to the team, and midfield in particular, he hungers for the ball and it seems to travel through him from attack to defence more often than not (especially with Hall's recent position on the bench); and as a result we seemed to have had a reduction in the long balls, and a more structured approach to our forward play. He's pitched in with assists and goals as well as constant running, tackling and passing.

What's more he seems to be growing a strong affinity with the club, being one of the first over to applaud the fans and taking his time in doing so, not to mention clutching the club badge with obvious pride at the end of the Crewe game.

The biggest, and most telling stat for Timlin though, is that our run of six consecutive wins coincides with his introduction into the team, 6 games with Timlin in, 6 wins. Hopefully we can make him a permanent member of the squad, he seems to be keen himself.

I think he is a really good player for this level and I've said before, I'd gladly sacrifice Grant in Jan if it means Timlin signs permanently.
