The guy is mental.

Brave isn't the word and how fitting the 3rd should be tucked away by him.

Man of the season. What a servant.

He was absolutely brilliant tonight. Watching the highlights and he looks knackered after scoring his goal.

:Worthy:

Timlin and Lenny were the best players on the park. They won the midfield without needing to get dragged into a fist fight. Our fullbacks had good games but it was because Timlin and Lenny were bossing things.

Also, it's great to win 3-1 with all the goals from midfield.

Like Corr, he is very close to legend status....if the pair acheive promotion at Wembley then that could well cement that status for both.

Simply class again Timlin - as I've said for years he is so vital to us with his infectious desire, heart and work rate. Why have the club allowed his contract (White and Corr too) to run down!!!

Timlin's performance could go down in Southend folklore. To be that willing to put your body on the line just 4 days after having 12(?) stitches in your head, is heroic. And then capped it off with the winner.

Watching that after match interview with him, I just wanted to cuddle my telly. Total warrior. Must be rewarded with a new deal.

Was it just me, that was whincing every time he headed the ball ? #totalwarrior

Yeah, my apologies. Before the game I said he's score the winner with a header. I was wrong! I hope no-one overheard and put money on it.

In fairness I don't think Timlin could afford to get into a fist fight!

According to PB other teams have already made inquiries.

Absolutely incredible performance from him last night. One more like that please next week.

I've been an supporter of Timlin from the first day he arrived. Last night proved it. A warrior like performance, if that had a midfield performance in the Premier League after the same incident a weeks prior , all the papers would be covered with his imagine. He drove on last night from the first kick. We won 90% of everything he challenged for . He didn't shirk a thing, including a header, at foot height in the centre circle. We wax lyrical about Barrett, however you only need to look at Timlin to see a leader amongst men! We cannot afford to lose him. He is the most vital cog in our team. He controls everything and every player to a man looks to him for advise .... Ron, give whatever he wants !

If your looking for heroes, look no further !!

Yeah, he's had some good games and bad, but I have never, ever seen a game when he hasn't given 100%. He covers a huge amount of ground, tackles for his life and can pick a pass. Under the circumstances, last night's heroic performance was up there with the greatest performances seen at Roots Hall.
