Think this is bad news for us. Offers versatility and an option that, if Lenny goes or gets injured, we don't really have in midfield in that he breaks up play.

Can't understand all the criticism he's had this season, I'm sure he wouldn't have chosen to play at left-back given the choice, and him being absent may shock people into seeing what we are missing.

More like bad news for the opposition. Timlin spends more time passing to them than his own teammates

Well if Lenny goes our midfield is going to short of options.
Will Yearwood be able to step up or could we try Hendrie

More of his passes fail because he doesn't just play it safe and plays with more attacking intent. He looks to create things and/or get the team moving. Nobody else in the side plays as many first time passes. That first time passing means the opposition doesn't get the time to regroup. Without it our play can look very pedestrian.

First time passes from Timlin doesn't mean the opposition doesn't get time to regroup. It means they get the chance to attack quicker than they thought they would because they get the ball quicker than they thought

His first time passing can indeed be good and I have no problem with it if played when in the oppositions half. His problem of late has been selecting when to go for an ambitious pass or to keep it simple, especially when he has been playing at left back. When he has time on the ball he also tends to telegraph his pass making it easier for the opposition to intercept.

Having said that with Lenny out next game he would have been an ideal replacement to play that defensive midfield role, providing of course he adapted his passing accordingly.

When everybody is fit I would no longer see him as an automatic starter but I believe he still has a role to play as a hard working squad player who can cover in a number of positions.

Behave he’s been gash
He hasn't been great, but he's played 90% of the season out of position because the manager is too stubborn to play a natural left-back he signed this summer.
