Today's Results

Not saying it will happen, but teams like us who find themselves cut adrift often suddenly go on a winning run, and that’s really the only way out of this. Win around 7 from the next 10 plus a couple of draws, and suddenly we’re lower mid-table. Remember Carlisle the year they dropped into the NL at one stage were something like 20 points from safety & only went down by a point or two in the end. We probably will string a few results together at some point, whether it will be too late or not is another matter.

Tranmere dropping points again today. They are a poor team. Credit to Wycombe though for doing what they are doing, not one stand out player to speak off other than Rolando Aaron’s (still amazes me how they pulled that signing off) but they just keep on picking up wins.

And similarly, teams in the safe middle zone of the league now, can easily hit a poor spell of form, and tumble down the table. Our problem is we need the stars to align, and a few of these teams to hit a poor form spell, coincident with a Southend winning streak. I'm quietly confident (or mad) that Sol can turn this around - starting with 3 points at home on Saturday. COYBB.

may well stay up with 45 points this season
so we need 40 more in 27 games , Not quite promotion form(68 points across a season )

Can we honestly expect this lot to turn from the worlds biggest shower of **** (according to many) to play off contenders just because we have had two weeks off after beating Wimbldeon U12's ........
