Have a feeling I've seen the film "Wilt" but that about it for my exposure to his work. RIP Tom.

One of my favourite books, I also really enjoyed Vintage Stuff.

Not always a big fan of humour fiction, but Sharpe and George MacDonald Fraser were both masters of it IMO.

Went for a meal over at a mate's place here last night. He was an ex-A Level History student of Tom Sharpe's at Cambridge Tech. back in the day.He and his partner had also bumped into TS at Llafranc, some years ago, when they were waiting to go into the same restaurant there.Small world and all that.
He was,(according to my mate), a very nice man and a good teacher too!
