Tommy Widdrington - ?

He actually quite impressed me on the Anglia News piece.
Not somebody who you would want to upset I am guessing.
Maybe the bad cop to Sturrock's good (lets hope not Keystone) cop?

Yeah, Widdrington I'm actually mildly impressed with. Sturrock......eeeeehhhhhh naaaaht so much.

Widdrington is a good appointment. What he did at Salisbury last season was almost miraculous. I would've been concerned about Sturrock on his own, but Widders has softened the blow slightly...

Neither have a contract... what muppets....

Or from the other side of the coin, "what geniuses" seeing as they've probably already gathered there's more to Ronald than a nice Bentley, some coiffured hair and a lot of old flannel - I'd like to think/hope/prey that if things don't come to fruition they can use their contract signing issue to back up their point of view...

Widdrington's look of shock when RM did his disappearing act from the Press Conference is priceless...

That's great news for the club. Otherwise we'd have 2 contracted managers, 1 contracted assistant, and 9 contracted players - not a good balance for a football team.

surely a contract would be first thing you want at somewhere as shambolic as Roots Hall... Ron couldnt organise highlights in a hairdressers....

Have to agree Widdrington is a younger version of Barry Fry about time we had had someone with passion and drive, if he and Paul had been in charge last season they would not have accepted the half hearted performances from our players whether they had been paid or not.

Err ? ? Umm ? ? Ron's history of paying contracted employee's, maybe

People keep talking about the technicality of them yet to sign the paperwork as being some sort of sign that they are either holding Ron Martin to ransom or that they won't be here more than a couple of weeks when actually it's pretty common for managerial contracts to only be signed a few weeks, or longer in. Unlike players, managers don't need to be contracted and if the agreement with Sturrock was only reached in the last couple of days then it's not unreasonable to assume that sorting out the legal paperwork is low down the list of priorities especially with two winding up orders for the Club's solicitors to be dealing with.
