Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone on SZ is well, my name is Adam Duffill and as well as being a lifelong SUFC fan, I'm a Singer/Songwriter from just down the road in Hockley, and some of you may remember me performing on the pitch before the Plymouth game on the first day of the season in August.

As I posted previously shortly after my performance I was really taken a back with the compliments and kind words people had to say about my performance, and also for everyone taking the time to listen to my music, I really did appreciate it!

Just thought I'd send a quick message to let you know that I enjoyed it so much last time I agreed to come down and perform again tomorrow at around 2.30pm - I'll be hoping the sprinklers aren't on this time (Pretty please groundsman Ken)!! It would be great to see some of you in the stands.

I'm actually getting really close to finishing my debut album now, so if you've got a spare minute please do have a listen to a few songs that may well feature on it & may also feature tomorrow afternoon!

"Come A Little Closer" (Live At Village Green Festival): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH-SJwKx74k

"Falling Like A Landslide" (Live At Circus Tavern): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viOYKBPYoTQ

"Take A Hold Of Me":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX2BYTaJeGs

Here's my YouTube channel for a few covers by bands that have influenced me: http://www.youtube.com/adamduffillmusic

Last time I performed at the Hall, we won and got a clean sheet and Phil Brown said I was welcome back anytime....Same again please lads!

See You On The Pitch!

you're lucky he didn't take the mike from you and have a little sing song himself!

I was very impressed and really enjoyed your previous performance mate, enjoy tomorrow and hopefully your a lucky charm and can influence another win and clean sheet.

He may not post on here often but I've known Adam for about 8 years now and can vouch that he is a genuine Shrimper and can always be found in the West when he's not gigging and does his fair share of awaydays as well.

I'm a bit of a cynic as well but Adam really is the genuine article.

Thanks for the comments and support guys! To be fair I can see where you're coming from, the truth is because I gig at least 3 or 4 nights a week, more often or not on Fridays & Saturdays, it's really difficult to watch the team as regularly as I did between about 98-09 & for that reason it's hard for me to come on and comment on current team affairs with any real insight when I maybe can only get to a match every month. However, wherever I am I'm the country performing, the Gillette Soccer Saturday app is consistently viewed when we're in action & my Dad is always on hand to keep me informed as he still gets there every week!

The reason I signed up to SZ was more to keep in touch with what's happening with the club after i'd started my music career, and to hear the views of fans that I know do get to the game every week rather than actively post, because even though I can't be at games every week anymore, I still love the club and I'll always support the team as much as I can!

One of the main reasons I wanted to perform at the Hall is so that I can take in a game with my family in the West Stand, and the girlfriend is coming with me for the first time so hopefully I can convert her into a Shrimper too!!

Enjoy the game lads/lassies! Hopefully see you in the Shrimpers & Spread before and after the game for a proper chat!

Thankyou to everyone for the kind comments and support, I really do appreciate it. Haha yeah I'm not sure lucky mascot is necessarily true but that said - you can't argue with six points from a possible six can you!? :winking:

Seriously though, it was an interesting game and a huge three points to keep us in touch at the top. Hopefully there will be plenty of families there who would have enjoyed the drama of the 90th minute winner and will want to come back again! From a personal view, I'm just glad my hands didn't freeze up in the cold, Ken the groundsman decided to spare me of a soaking from the sprinkler and most importantly that most people seemed to enjoy the set.

Fingers crossed we can keep this run going as long as possible into the festive season, and avoid too many injuries as well!
