Personally I don't expect to see any new signings whether on loan or otherwise until January.

I was thinking that a day or 2 ago - my thought was if we get a loan now - is it likely to be only until Jan - in which case if the player was good would they renew or look for a loan in the EFL in Jan and we're then back to square one looking for a replacement. Plus the pool of available players is likely to be bigger in Jan - both for loans and potentially permanent signings.

Are the 2 SU lads only on loan until Jan? If so is that start or end of Jan?

I was following the Chesterfield results last season. They were in a similar position to us - near bottom of Conference. Twelve months later they are top - no reason why we can't do the same - have faith!
