7. A female news anchor who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked, "So Bob, where's that eight inches you promised me last night?" Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too, because they were laughing so hard!

The original "Colemans balls" was in fact a quote by Ron Pickering, And Juanterina opens his legs and shows his Class"

Other classics I recall

The bowlers Holding, the batsmans Willey

and later in the same innings "Willeys out"

Brian Johnston perpetrated some classics, also, Ray Illingworth has just relieved himself at the Pavilion End.

There's Colin Cowdrey at first slip, legs wide apart waiting for a tickle.

When Ian Botham was out hit wicket once the replay showed that he had lost balance and tried to jump over the stumps, but had hit them by mistake. The commentator said that it was "a pathetic attempt at getting his leg over."

That one had me in stitches.

That was actually said on the radio commentary on Test Match Special. Jonathan Agnew said it, which then set off Brian Johnston into a fit of laughter. I remember it even being featured on the BBC TV news, where they played the clip over shots of an empty commentary box at an empty cricket ground. Quite bizarre. Anyway, you can hear that clip again by scrolling down to the bottom of this page.

Those cricket ones posted above I'd heard before, but the first set I think were almost all new to me - absolutely loved them, the funniest thing I've read in a long, long while. Well done, jontosh!
