Toy shop (south Essex)

Smyths or The Entertainer for the large national ones

Local one (to Southend) is Toys N Tuck at the high street end of Queen Street.

Harmony on London road in Westcliff.

I've been in that place about 50 times (purely on a professional basis!) and I've not once seen anyone else in there. Chap who runs it seems very affable though.

There's also a toy shop up by Chalkwell Park run by a bloke called Chris (LOVES a chat!) but not as huge as selection as Argosy. I find the chap at Argosy a little "off" at times but I think that's just his personality and sometimes appears to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder but the younger members of staff are always pleasant to deal with.

Argosy in Westcliff near Crowstone Road every day of the week. Proper toy shop. Smyths at Rayleigh Weir is ok, but very much subject to the current trends.

Harmony on London road in Westcliff.
Harmony was on my paper-round. One glorious morning I found two discarded bin-bags, full of grot-rags, in the alleyway next to the shop. I stashed them under my bed and made a fortune selling them at school (charging less for the rain-damaged ones of course).
