Hmmm,

Ron waltzed into RH with the club having debts of around 3 million roughly, this debt has grown well past TEN million,he arrived when we were in league 2 and we are in league 2 currently. The stadium hasn't changed apart from the electronic turnstiles and the South upper tea bar has been closed.

Yeah your right well done Ron.

and nothing else happened in that time?

all he had to do was convince a few mugs the club was broke and he had "saved it" ...

Oh my god.

Really?

Here you go, explanation for the 22nd time how we didnt get 5 million pounds.

Try to read it this time, explains exactly where the money went.

http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/8312868.Sainsbury_s_puts___5m_cap_on_its_Blues_bailout/

Evidence drawn up by the club to defend the administration application detailed how Sainsbury’s has agreed to lend a maximum of £5,071,711 to Roots Hall Limited, which owns the current ground and will in turn lend cash to the club.

However, the document showed nearly £3million of this had already been used since November, clearing earlier tax debts. Another £240,000 is due to be spent by next week clearing another tax bill and the Charterhouse debt, meaning the club has about £1.8million left from Sainsbury’s to deal with debts and taxes over the next 12 months.

Is there anyway we can get this set as an auto reply every time he mentions it? Must have been saying the same thing for 5 years now, was wrong when first said and just as wrong now.

That's news to me, when did that happen. I am surprised it hasn't been mentioned on here before. :omg:

There are 24 clubs that have been in administration or non-league relatively recently that are currently higher than us in the league.

Not a green field site either.

Apart from that an excellent post.

With Ron, you know what you will get.
One huge plus if we achieve promotion on Saturday is that we cannot go out of the league in 12 months time.
Tranmere Rovers were once a fantastic club that punched above its weight. Then some poor decisions - and OUT the league.
Love him or hate him - Lets hope Ron can tell us all how right he is as we celebrate promotion.

The sensible approach is,

It's Ron's ball and he can do what ever he wants,we are in reality Ron's customers and anybody who disagrees with the way Ron does it have their choice.

Sad but true.

Yeah, really good logic mate.

It is true though. People get hung up on our debt but it is a paper figure with zero possibility of ever getting repayed.

Debt is far less important than cashflow. Our debt can go up in Ron Martin's web of company accounts every year but so long as we're generating cash or have access to cash to cover our responsibilities then we're fine. And if we run out of cash then it doesn't matter if our debt is £10m or £10 as it will still mean exactly the same thing.

It's a fact, simple.

Blimey, and there was me agreeing with you.

The debt means that we have no possiblilty of a buyer coming in unless that buyer is prepared to pay off that debt and I think Ron has done enough to prove he cannot be trusted.

Lets not forget it was Ron who put us in this Division in the 1st place. We had to good seasons in L1 then the club almost goes into administration and for the 2nd half of the season the players are not paid and we go down without a fight.
Yes its a big thank you to Ron. Just hope he doesn't have the cheek to come on the pitch on Saturday if we are promoted

Whilst he isnt the messiah that Southchurch always makes him out to be Ron has still given Phil a stable environment in which to work this season.

Just because mistakes have been made in the past doesnt mean he cant ever celebrate when things go well.

Lets allow him some credit for this seasons success.
