According to local gossip up here in the north of the county, scouts have been following the progress of Braintree striker Sean Marks, who recently scored a brace against Chelmsford City.

With the Sainsbury's connection, could this explain why Scott Spencer has been sent out on loan ?

ignoring the tortuous route taken to get to a shocking pun, have i missed something, is Spencer out on loan ?

Both have been made available for loan, but neither actually have finalised a team to be loaned too yet.

Herd is tempting Crewe, and will be spending a week down there on trial, according to the echo.

Saw this guy Marks play for Braintree earlier in season. Might be worth a punt, he gets good service from an attacking team that gets in lots of crosses but his record is good so far.
These are the sort of players that John Still goes for at Dagenham and they often work out well. The cost is usually minimal and therefore the risk is less.

If true its good to hear we are closely monitoring local non league players.
