Skysports.com understands Southend are lining up a loan move for Ipswich defender Troy Brown.
Shrimpers boss Paul Sturrock is keen to bolster his squad before the close of the loan window on Thursday and has earmarked a deal for centre-back Brown.
Brown, who made his debut for Ipswich in the final game of last season, has made 14 appearances for Town this term.

in 2009.
Town chief Paul Jewell is happy to loan out the 20-year-old so that he can continue his development with regular first-team football.

Nice to see he's holed up at Ipswich after a thoroughly impressive spell with the New England Patriots.

According to Ipswich this looks a real possibility. BUT, he will be involved with Welsh U21 so would not be available for some games - if he signs for us.

After failing to bring in 43 different players, it could be suggested that if ipswich want to loan him to us we should take him even if he isn't on our list of targets!

We are however so I am led to believe interested in another Ipswich player....
