The Trust are pleased to see that Southend United have not gone the same way as Macclesfield Town this morning at the high court, our sympathies go to their supporters.

Since the hearing, the Trust have been assured (by Ron Martin) that a Statement will be released later today covering the current status.

It would be wrong for us to comment any further (yet) other than to say that we hope the statement clarifies the Financial situation at the club and the situation regarding the signing/registering of players.

Southend Fans are understandably extremely worried at this time and look to the Chairman for re-assurance.

I started a thread in January entitled "Put our money where our mouth is" suggesting we all contribute as much as we can as individuals to keep our Club afloat. I would suggest that the time is now !

Think lots of fans would make donations if they knew it was to be used in the right way, but with Ron Martin you will never get told the truth how the money was or will be used, I can remember the last time everyone chipped in, including myself, I more than likely won’t do it again as long as Ron Martin is in charge of the club.

Can sympathize with your comment, but if the collection was taken by the Trust and donated by the Trust, there can be no argument surely?

The Trust are always up against it with this Chairman/owner, so I personally tend not to give them a hard time. He tells them very little, and tries his hardest to avoid them or anyone else that wants to know about any robbing Peter to pay Paul situations. Regarding them responding once the financial situation is clarified, Ron blaming Cardnet, has not really clarified the situation. Cardnet is only part of the financial problems. High salaries and players not performing, was obvious to us already.
