My memory says Thursday 9.30 bbc2 1983 give or take a year,joy division style.
I now feel compelled to find it.
Do doubt it will be channel 4 Wednesday 8.00pm 1980 about hair dressing and total crap!
How the memory does strange things as you get older

Are you sure it wasn't the sub plot in Eastenders where Sharon, Wicksy, Ian Beale and Eddie Hunter formed a band called The Banned?

Maybe your memory is hazy because you were doing a lot of drugs at the time as one can only assume the Eastenders script writers were.
