Other than swallowing his pride and seeking some form of outside investment to assist the football side of the business....

RM wouldn't just be swallowing his pride though, would he? He'd also be swallowing a considerable amount of profit that he stands to make from the redevelopment should he bring another investor on board.

Unless, of course, anybody knows someone who's willing to plough a few million into our club for nothing...

Unfortunately this is the major stumbling block to 'the consortium' or anyone else buying the club - they don't just have to buy the club and its debts (largely owed to RM now), they also have to buy out RM's interest in Roots Hall, Fossetts Farm and his expected future cashflows/profits from the FF development.
In other words an outlay of millions if not tens of millions before any money available for Steve Tilson.
