Looking for a VHS player/recorder. No shops seem to stock them these days and those that do want loads for them.

All I'm after is a basic play/record jobby so I can connect it to my PC and copy some of me VHS' onto DVD. Does anyone have an old second hand one they want to flog that will do the job?

I got a cheapy one from tescos in pitsea about a year ago, cant remember how much but it was just a basic one, like you're after.

Might have to pop over to the dark side and take a look then. I know Dixons have taken them off the shelves now.

Bloody hell that terrifying!

The end end of another technological medium and whats worse is that I've hundreds of videos. I'll be so ****ed if I have to replace them

Tried eBay? Plenty going for around £20 - £30 ...

Won't be long before pre-recorded movies start to fade away from the shelves too. DVD sales have really taken over. As DVD recorders become cheaper and more popular, expect to see the demise of the VHS blanks.

Asda in Shoebury, will probably get an el-cheapo one in there for about £15-20 if not less.

Thank god for the death of video. The digital revolution is upon us. No more loss of quality on repeated viewings. Pause the *ahem* shot for as long as you wish without jumpy pictures. Oh happy days.
