Wagner Love (of CSKA Moscow) is a footballer... but he sounds like he should be a musician. Anymore for anymore, eg Neil Lennon, George McCartney...

I seem to remember Martin & Gary Kemp from Sandau Ballet played for Melchester Rovers back in the day too.

...and isn't there a Rowlands who plays for QPR, 'searching for the young soul rebels' in The Goldhawk, no doubt...

...plus 2 scorers of the winning & only goals in respective FA Cup Finals, ie:-

1969- Neil Young (Buffalo Springfield, Man City, CSN&Y, Crazy Horse FC)

1972- Mick Jones (London SS, Sheffield United, The Clash, Leeds, Big Audio Dynamite FC)

Thanks, mate- that's reminded me, AC was the scorer of that goal in '72- Jones made it & got injured in the process. Remember him in agony nursing his shoulder when picking up his medal...

I had forgotten that Jones provided the cross, IIRC he had the arm and shoulder strapped and he looked like a refugee from Tutankhanum's tomb.

I was prevented from 'green repping' you for this, Canvey, but a chortle could be heard as a result of it!:)
