Ref Watch ......... Walsall (A)

Just been told by someone enjoying some hospitality at Roots Hall that Mr Joyce is in the Captain's Suite today. He's a brave man showing his face at Roots Hall if true!!_

Of course it's not; he was at Hull.

The irony is that his full time job is as a Referee’s Development Officer - I presume coaching young referees - what hope is there for the future!

SOUTHEND United manager Kevin Bond has received an apology following referee Ross Joyce’s dismal display at Walsall last week.

Just say nothing. We’re never gonna get the points we were robbed of so just deal with it internally

A pointless apology

Ross Joyce, along with the Fourth Official, Ben Speedie are being "rested" this weekend.

Got to admit, yes we have had a couple of decisions go for us this year, Coventry, where we lost anyway, and Gillingham (still not 100% sure that crossed the line though), but we have had the rough end of some decisions this season.

Actually Speedie is refereeing at Hereford so Joyce carrying the can on his own.

Why would the 4th official have been rested Mick? For not spotting the 2 yellows for JW?
As I corrected, he doesn't appear to have been.
Any sanctions for the referee will not relate to either the half-time incident nor the penalty. It really depends what sort of story they cobble up together for the apparent double booking.

Another week off for Ross Joyce, deservedly so!
