Post-Match Thread and Ratings Walsall FC 1-1 Southend United

So when this squad finally raises their game, enough to win an away match, it all goes horribly wrong. Its no wonder they keep losing confidence, its Scunthorpe all over again. Really running out of games now, absolutely disastrous season. BUT. This is SUFC and we never do anything the easy way. No doubt we will win the next 3 games, no doubt at all. Thats SUFC all over. Or the next two and stay up on goal difference. A penalty scored against them in the 95th minute, you have to wonder that the team bring it on themselves. Its crying out for a leader in that midfield all season to shake up all around him. I can't give up yet. But for gods sake keep the ball in extra time.
Come on @Sean, you've seen the video re-runs, what on earth could they have done differently to stop THAT penalty being awarded by THAT ref?

WALSALL’S interim boss Martin O’Connor felt Southend United ‘were there for the taking’ in Friday’s 1-1 draw at the Bescot Stadium.

Must have known how much was in the brown envelope left in the refs dressing room before he arrived

Don't think it'll impact on us, but, Accers lost 0 - 3 to Looton

Don't bet on it, their remaining games are away to Doncaster (currently in 6th place), home to Plymouth (currently in 19th and on one less point than them) and away to Portsmouth (currently 4th).

SIMON Cox insists Southend United must remain upbeat for Monday's crunch clash with Burton Albion, despite their disappointment at Walsall.
