Even so, I want to see evidence. I trust you have all ticket stubs/season cards dating back...what? 25 plus years, lol?
That said, I must have passed or getting very close to 1,000 without knowing it. Yeah, there were inconsistent breaks, but first game was March 61!

Can't remember my first game - I used to sit on the pitch wall of the South Bank and then play up & down the earth patch once I was bored. Happy days - no question of there being any trouble and I was left to roam free before being "tracked down" at the end of the match. Used to walk to the ground (& back) as well with the number of people (all blokes I think) growing as we got over the railway bridge from Sutton Road.

Very ancient!
But I only started regularly at the end of season 62-63.
Thereafter, bus to Pitsea; walk from Southend Central (and back). 1/3d, entrance; 4d, programme; collect autographs in it afterwards, and home for tea. Mater was fond of those Vesta packet dishes like Chow mein, served with chips, of course!
