Amber alerts and 80 mph winds apart, is anyone aware how the pitch is holding up? (he asks having already purchased both match and train tickets)....

It was forcast to be lashing down from around 9am this morning but so far just a little drizzle on and off (im in wakering at the mo) lots of rain predicted for the next few hours too.....

Im sure the pitch will be "ok" , however after these 80mph and rain tonight might be a bit interesting, however ill be at ground about 1pm or before tomorrow and ill have a gander at the pitch.

Hope your scoreboard is ok !

I have spoken to The Stadium Manager and the response i received to the question; "Is it likeley to be called off due to bad weather/conditions" was - "No problems at the moment".

However, if there are issues, this will be decided tomorrow by the Referee and his team...

Just be glad we aren't in Gloucester as I've got a feeling their game might be called off ...

That picture was taken 6 and a half years ago !

They've been playing at Cheltenham pending their new planned development at Meadow Park.

Here we go again-rain stopped play

More rain for the next 24 hours or so. :-(

Rain 1 Match 0 ?

Why do you have to ruin my fun! :raspberry:

I'm only 30 odd miles away and it hasn't stopped here all day. Even the concrete is being washed away.
I hope someone has got the sense to check the pitch Today and be brave enough to call it off if required. Can't play football on a swamp.

Strong drying winds and no significant rain forecast after dawn tomorrow.

Calling it off prematurely would be defeatist rather than brave.

Storm force winds and heavy rain are expected to cause widespread disruption on the Southeastern rail network on Saturday morning.

Apart from the high speed services between Ashford International and London St Pancras International, no Southeastern services are expected to run before 10am. Passengers are advised not to attempt travel before 11pm.

Reckon it'll be postponed. Best of luck down there, sounds grim as ****.
