Well Done to our friends from Great Wakering Rovers who have reached the final of the Essex Senior Cup for the first time, courtesy of a 3-0 win at Aveley tonight.

They meet AFC Hornchurch in the final, at Roots Hall. Date to be confirmed.

Good news for Wakering. Nice that a local side has got there and I hope they can beat Hornchurch, even though my Dad played for them many moons ago.

Heard the game is Tuesday 27th March and I think i'll stroll to RH to see it.

GWR were well up for this game and hardly gave Aveley a sniff at goal at any time during the 90 minutes.
Will need to show a similar level of committment in the Final to beat the moneybags team that is Hornchurch.
Several ex SUFC youth team players took part - Danny Pitts for GWR and Nick Skelton and Daryl Bourgeois for Aveley.
Several SUFC fans on the terraces and in the stand(including Dagenham Kev).
