24 Hours ago Hooper had departed, the Eastwood rumour was quashed and it appeared that we were in meltdown. No striking options bar a new boy with no clear sign on the horizon.

At this moment, we've seen what Barnard is capable of, have beaten arguably the 2nd best side in this league (Behind Swansea) and have completed the signing of another promising striker in Revell. A good performance on the pitch and it looks promising.

Finally, this transfer window looks like being worthwhile. We've shipped out some deadwood and brought in some promising, hungry, young talent in the likes of Scannell, Barnard and Revell with the possibility of another... If we can bring in a commanding centre back I feel this window will have been a great success.

I'll refuse to get carried away, as last night showed, but I do feel that the squad can turn a corner now. A crunch derby win at the weekend and we could really push on.
