What are you having for lunch? (rolling thread)

Surprised he has lasted so long .
So am i!. He sells really good meat produce, yet as locals die or move away, his local trade has diminished considerably over the last few years.
He told me at the weekend, on a Tuesday if he takes £50 all day that's good. That's loose change to a buisness, let alone making a profit. Obviously his main trade is on a Fri & Sat, but with his electric bill going up mega, he decided to call it a day.
He tried to sell it at a knock down price, but no one was interested ( can't blame them in these turbulent times? ).
So i will be going there on Friday, to stock up on pork chops, gammon's, sausages, chipolatas & smoked bacon, after i've been to 'West's' down the Old Town!.

Sadly all the supermarkets have shut most of the greengrocers , bakers , fish shops and butchers all over the country , the sad thing is we all guilty of useing the big stores .
