About to start Nina is Not Ok by Shappi Khorsandi....who called me a ******** back in the day at one of her comedy gigs. Always had a soft spot for her ever since.....

Just started Dominiq Sandbrook's State Of Emergeny :The way We were:Britain 1970-1974.

(Remember that period well.My last year in the 6th form,"gap year",before the term was invented, (on the buses) and 3 years in Brum as an undergraduate.Funnily enough I don't remember the wedding of Princess Anne & Captain Mark Philips on 14th November 1973,which the book starts with at all.I wonder why). :Winking:

It was a sunny day and we had the day off school.

Edit/correction 1973 would have been my final year in Brum (I graduated in June 74) Lived in Kings Heath that year. Not far from Birmingham City's ground in the era of Francis /Latchford,when they were a much better team than Villa.Still can't say I remember that Royal wedding too well though. :Winking:

Journeyman by Ben Smith.

I had heard good things about the book but the season by season by game parts are really dull. I am about 2/3 of the way through and not sure I will finish.

Broken Greek by Peter Paphides.

Another memoir from a journalist who grew up in the 70s/80s...but it's ok.
