What do you think?

If there is a celebration to be had at the end of the season, I want to be there to enjoy it. I am seriously thinking of getting on a flight to be part of it, if it happens.

Here's my problem though:

There are a limited number of suitable flights available from this barren rock they call Malta and, to get a seat (at least at a reasonable price), I'd need to book early.

What I don't want to do is put the mockers on us going up for doing so too early, but leaving it longer will mean probably losing the seats... or the price going up so that it's no longer worth it.

What the hell do I do?

I seek your advice, wise members of the ShrimperZone community.

jump on a plane and come on over for the bristol city game.

whether we will be celebrating with the cup is anyones guess, but it will be goaters last pro game in england, and our last game of the season in which we have done very well. so it should be a very good day!

As possibly the most supersticious guy on the planet where the MIGHTY Blues are concerned...my advice is to stay exactly where you are and only come over when it's (hopefully) all done and dusted!

Had you considered making it a two-legged journey instead of flying direct?
Maybe Malta to Rome to London?
These can often be cheaper. Try Expedia using the option for multiple destinations. If you can get a cheapie to Rome, you could pick up a cheapie to Stanstead on Ryanair.
It may be a solution?

Don't do it, Mark! Don't even think about it! Remember the MStad incidents! We came back for the first LDV Final and lost! We seriously thought about coming back for the second LDV Final until work got in the way and the team lost! We didn't even think about coming back for the Play-Off Final and look what happened! We then came back for the FAC tie against Franchise FC and the team puts out one of its worst performances of the season! DON'T DO IT!!

Or, f%&k it, book it up and enjoy yourself, son!!

Not a bad idea, but Malta to Rome is only served by Alitalia (they'll lose my kuggage or will be on strike) and Air Malta (over priced).

I have my eyes on British Jet, but I'll need to book well in advance.

Risky.

I think the jinx [/I]may be over. The last trip was around Xmas / New Year. We had been on a bad run of form... but our arrival coincided with a turn around in fortunes.

Also the tickets for the match are selling like hot cakes...and will be going even quicker after yesterday I should imagine....you'll need to decide quickly.

book Christine a gig somewhere around that time, and book the flights to come over for that. If it coincides with a promotion party then great...

At least you won't actually be booking a flight for the promotion party.

Thanks, Beaver... you have proved once again that you are a class above the usual riff-raff on this board (i.e. Grim and True Blue).
