What happens to Season Cards?

From a quick check, I think we've missed five home games, so c.£395 per adult season ticket (if I remember correctly), 22 home games, so £17.95 a game x 5 missed games = £89.75 due back per season ticket.

the season ticks were sold on the basis of 23 games, not 22. All big sales pitch was 23 games work out at £17.17 per game compared to the match day prices of £23/£24. On that basis £17.17 x 6 equals £103.04.

before anybody whinges, it’s not our fault Bury were owned by a crook and were booted out of the League. Ron has time to make adjustments before spending it on his vanity project!

Just seen Wycombe's new season ticket page.

Two things of interest. One, there prices are considerably more expensive than SUFC's, other than there terraces which are about £50 cheaper. The second is the terms and conditions of buying a ticket. It says that the earlier you buy your ticket, the better your chance of watching a restricted attendance game, i.e. first come, first served, so to speak. It also says that in the event of not being able to see the game due to restrictions, you will only be entitled to access iFollow to watch the game!

I don't know if they issued refunds, but the T's & C's have certainly be written to cover themselves from a big payout. I can imagine if RM the same thing, it would get a mixed response, especially if the outcome from Covid is still unclear. Would you want to be paying £16 a game to watch a £10 game on iFollow?!!

Perhaps Uncle Ron will make an announcement next week!!

That’s really interesting Rich

A season ticket for our 2019/20 season must represent one of the worst value season tickets of all time, with only two home wins all season! Compounded by Coronavirus and relegation to League Two, I can imagine season ticket sales being the lowest for many years when spectator football eventually returns.

I never buy a season ticket and work out how much per win. I work out how much it costs to socialise with people I sit around at games. Any win is just a bonus

I got a season card last season. It will be price and how they handle affairs for this season that dictates purchasing another.

I also wonder if they will offer any discount to NHS and key workers as a good will gesture.

I won't renew my season card until and unless I'm offered a refund or some sort of gesture for my overpayment this season.

I respect that and am sure many share that view. Me i will renew no matter what i know it there is a difference in what we saw and what we paid for (i have 2 season tickets so x amount x 2 is not a small amount i guess) but I just want the club to survive if there is a danger that they wont, so if that difference helps in anyway then so be it

Your donation will have no bearing on the clubs survival, it’s down to one person. He now has the ok to start building, but he is unlikely to want to borrow against it. The club already has loans from various directors.

That’s your view and i respect that. Just saying any money we pu it to the club helps, it has too as it is income. So if I dont take anything back and that helps the club then i am prepared to do that.

Like i say everyone entitled to their view and i respect that

I actually agree with you and if the refund or whatever is offered I intend to decline it and donate that revenue to the club. Maybe I'm just being pedantic but for the club to just keep it and do nothing I find unacceptable; I suppose it's the feeling of being taken for granted that's irritating me.

Yes they need to make an offer and not just keep it, leave it to the individual to decide

Indeed, and I'm not sure what I intend to do just yet. Considering the amount of money the club seems to waste on crap players and managers, I've a good mind to keep it.

Apparently Grimsby fans were offered a refund for five missed games but not one person took up the offer. The fans have also raised over 100,000 pounds for the club. Sounds like a happy spirit within the club and it's fans and manager Ian Holloway. What a contrast to the mood surrounding our own club.

The saddest part is the connection with the club has really suffered over the last 2 seasons and what happened last season was possibly the biggest mess in the clubs history and a PR disaster.Given that we have hardly any players ,a manager that doesn't show emotional connection with the club and supporters, and finally a Chairman who whilst struggling to stay afloat has caused the current mess
If FF does start then maybe the mood and optimism might change overnight ,but at present the club looks to be in for another season of struggle

Used to it now. Quite looking forward to it.

Those aspects should not be underestimated, the atmosphere at Roots Hall affects the players, their performances affect the results, then attendance numbers and ultimately finances.

Ron can have my money, he won’t have the ability to refund anyone anyway, purely discount next years seasons cards.

God knows when we will all be allowed back in Roots Hall...that’s 4 months now since we have all seen a live football match!
