What happens to Season Cards?

The chancellor has announced the VAT rate will be reduced until Jan 2021 from 20 to 5 per cent on businesses including attractions such as theme parks and zoos. Is football an attraction? If so then Season Cards and match day prices should be reduced accordingly.

Is there anyone left not on furlough???

Heard an awful furlough story yesterday about a mate of our younger daughters (a young Scottish lad).Basically he's been furloughed by his teaching company and being paid 50% of his salary by the company, the Spanish Govt .paying 30%.So he's being paid 80% of his normal salary.Yet he's expected to work 40 hours online FT changing the business from a presential F2F one to an online teaching business. This is obviously not sustainable once the furlough scheme ends here.

Other stories been on the news about companies putting people on furlough and employing other workers more cheaply to do their jobs.Disgraceful.

Ron can have my money, he won’t have the ability to refund anyone anyway, purely discount next years seasons cards.

God knows when we will all be allowed back in Roots Hall...that’s 4 months now since we have all seen a live football match!

This was 1 of 3 options on offer to season card holders at Espanyol.(The other was a voucher at the club shop).

Since next season's season cards will be free (on the face of it a generous offer) but not so generous given that Espanyol will be playing in la Liga 2 next season plus nobody knows yet how many Liga 2 games we'll actually be able in 20/21.

Off topic here really, but I know plenty of people on their 80% furlough who've been effectively blackmailed to work at least part of the time "to keep the company going", and yet not received any top up or pay despite other people being back fully employed.

You're absolutely right @OldBlueLady, nothing to do with season cards at all. By all means start a new thread on the topic but please don't post any more on on it on this thread. Many thanks both.

The other option (which I forgot to mention in a senior moment) was opting to receive 3 pairs of free tickets for games next season. :Dunce: Woulnd't suprise me if English clubs are going to have to be similarly imaginative in thinking up ways to persuade season card holders to part with their hard earned next season.Especially as ealy season games (if not longer) will probably have to be behind closed doors.SUFC please take note.
