What have you watched on TV?

Watched Scunthorpe United v Southend United on the new ifollow TV Pay to View Channel last night.

Can not recommend viewing, it should have a "X" rating and have had Parental Guidance warning notices before screening.

It was a horrific horror movie and will frighten most older and younger viewers.

It starts of nicely with some good shots but after about 20 minutes, it descended into the most scary stuff I have seen on TV for ages.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. :Scared:

Just watched episode 3 of the new Partridge, definitely worth watching but still a fair way behind I'm Alan Partridge for me.

Agreed, it’s getting better by the episode. I’m Alan Partridge is like a fine wine matures with age. The longer I leave it before watching it again the better is gets.

Watched episode one of the Netflix series ‘The disappearance of Madeline McCann’.

Question to those who had kids back in 2007? One of the blokes interviewed on there agreed that it was a thing back then to leave your kid then pop out to a restaurant? Now I know my parents never would’ve done that when I was younger. I’ve never and never would do it with my kids. How was that ever a thing?

Absolute travesty on The Voice last night, with our own Sarah Tucker from Leigh on Sea, who's sung at Roots Hall before, losing out in her battle to a girl who'd had many cracks at making it and failed, just because Jennifer Hudson empathised with that!

If you have the time, please make sure you vote for Sarah next Saturday when the People's Vote lifeline comes into effect!

TBH, that's the sort of thing I would have expected my parents to have done back in the early '70s, but there's no way on earth I'd have ever left my children unattended. My 2 are now 13 and 11 and we're only just leaving them for the odd hour and only if they're in together.

In the 70s it was a common thing on holidays for parents to head off to the bar and leave the kids behind in the chalet. Someone used to wander the camp and listen out for crying kids and then report back, where the MC (inbetween racist jokes and ****-poor "entertainment") would pipe up "baby crying in Chalet 32......."

Belting out other people's songs is not necessarily talent in my book.

I shudder to think of the next generation who have grown up singing Let It Go and think they are entitled to be the next Beyonce.

We need more TV programs inspiring people to be doctors, human rights activists or moderately successful software developers.

She does, of course, already have a successful career as a mortgage broker. This however, is her dream.

I was just about to post the same thing.

I remember many a holiday camp evening, where we would hear just that over the tannoy or on a board in the cabaret bar announcing baby updates.

Ditto leaving prams outside shops.

Snap us three must be same generation, lucky I wasnot one of those kids who parents preferred the beer rather than stay with their kids

Remember my mum moaning to my dad, when an announcement came over the tannoy " Baby crying in chalet ....", things donot change, just nowadays it makes the news more

Me too, we weren't ever left in our chalet, but many were.

It's a shame seeing the demise of Pontins over the years. There's some pretty sad old videos on youtube of the demolition of many of the old Pontins camps.

Those that do remain are run by the awful Britannia Group and wouldn't have looked out of place in the days of the Penal Colonies!

Consider Masterchef. There is nothing stopping any contestant becoming a chef assuming they are happy to start at the bottom and endure years of low pay and antisocial hours. Masterchef contestants would rather skip such inconveniences and go straight in at the top.

The same with talent shows. If you have a dream then there are other ways to realise it, perhaps gigging on the Leigh on Sea working mans club circuit?

Tonight’s Walking Dead, worst of the season so far! An absolute borefest!

24 Hours in Police Custody last night, go looking for someone downloading child porn and find massive drug dealers as well. Absolute scumbags, the pair of them.
