What have you watched on TV?

The Dirt on Netflix.

Dramatisation of the Motley Crue biography.

As a fan of the book I enjoyed it. A lot of gratuitous nudity so be warned.

The book is brilliant, I knew that fitting all of that into a film under 2hrs wouldn't do it justice and it doesn't. It is actually a good film but so much is missed out and some of the best stories from the book are rushed and miss out crucial parts of the story, i.e. The Ozzy Osbourne part and the Nikki Sixx overdose, if those two parts had have been told to the letter of the book or even with a narrative giving all the information it would have been much better. The stories in that book are amazing, nobody has done rock n roll excess like crue

"I try and get at least one song from every overdose" Nikki Sixx on the inspiration for Kickstart my heart.

On the over dose they missed
  Spoiler:
the part where he discharged himself from hospital walked out to fans outside the hospital holding a candle lit vigil because they thought he was dead, looking at him like they have seen a ghost, then getting a lift home with two of the female fans outside the hospital and listening to his own obituary on the radio on the way home

In regards to the MM documentary , I watched the whole series and I can't for one minute see how they could of concealed the body for that long until they hired a rental car some 3 weeks later …..especially in a foriegn country where you don't know your surroundings that well.
I believe they are holding back the truth along with the friends that they checked every 20 mins , my guess is that it was more like an hour at a pop and probably a loose check as well as the doc alluded to the fact that a lot of drink was flowing .

lots of odd characters out and about around the time of the disappearance and for the police to dismiss them all and focus solely on the McCanns was poor policing .
Ive always thought that the fact her eye was so recognisable may of been her downfall if she was snatched to order

Talking of shocking, I just watched 24 Hours in custody. Not much shocks me nowadays, but that did. One poor lad knifed over and over, caught on CCTV. He died in hospital. His crime.....him and another lad gave each other a bad look in passing. The other lad called in a gang that was in a car just around the corner. They came and launched the horrific attack. Not my favourite place Luton, especially having got stuck in my car in the middle of the Luton carnival years ago when innocently on my way to the Luton Casino for a poker festival tournament. Just my luck that year that the local young muslims and the blacks mainly from Marsh Farm, were at war.

This Time (Alan Patridge): Quite poor after last week's sterling episode.
Fleabag: Just simply outstanding. Waller-Bridge is a genius.
Catching up with Baptiste - Still superb, one episode to go.
Maddie McCann thingy - IMO Gerry & Kate are totally and utterly innocent of anything bar extraordiarly bad child care, but there's no punishment you could inflict that could be any worse that the hell they're in.

Baptiste was a big pile of nonsense. what a rushed denouement.
Fleabag is the best thing on telly.
This Time was brilliant - loved the section at the start

Oh and US Office is incredible.
Started watching Avatar the Last Airbender. Really, really impressive.

agree with MK that this week's This Time was by far the worst. However, looking forward to the last one next week - I expect everything to come tumbling down!

I've only watched the first couple of episodes of Fleabag S1. NEed to get into it

Gave up with Baptiste. Far too convoluted and daft

The more you know about Fleabag the more it comes clear why she's like how she is.

Dave Allen, Gods Own Comedian. I always thought he was genius but discovered so much more about him after watching this. Give it a go on i player, anyone over 45ish will get it. Dated now, I know but he really set the standard back in the day and blazed a trail for the new breed.

Not yet on, but the new HBO series Chernobyl is on soon on Sky. Looks pretty good. It also has Paul Ritter from Friday Night dinner in so I am hoping for a few "Sh*t on it" moments.

Bit behind on the Walking Dead, so caught up with the Michonne/Daryll/Judith backstory one which I know was roundly criticised on here, but I thought it was excellent.
