What have you watched on TV?

Watched 'All quiet on the western front', love a war film and this one was a good watch and interesting seeing a German prospective and putting a lot of the blame at the officers etc's feet. How accurate it is I have no idea.

I have seen this at the cinema (subtitled) and on Netflix (dubbed) and it is nothing short of amazing.
The original was banned in Germany at the time and there was a "made for T V" version (Ernest Borgnine) and they should also be seen if possible.

Have you seen Pistol on Disney? 9/10
Shooter on Netflix is a fair 7/10
Watched Pistol, thought it was OK. The young actor who played John Lydon was very good, although the real Mr Rotten begs to differ as heard him say it was nowhere near the truth.

Not seen Shooter though

One recommendation if you have Amazon is Devils Hour - spooky stuff

@Floval Flyer re pistol , it was more the music, the big changes in society and the excitement of punk for me, more than the authenticity of the characters, however Sid and Nancy!!!
It helps that those were my teenage years.

Just finished watching the last of the magnificent World cup documentaries that have been broadcast recently (How to Win the World Cup). Really insightful, I also really enjoyed the Italian (2006) and Brazilian (2002) series - good to see from another perspective.
