Rhinitis - Saw a consultant at ENT Southend Hospital today who diagnosed that the right hand side of my nose has been affected by Rhinitis. He diagnosed it by shoving an endoscope up both sides of my snozz telling me it may tickle a bit. He neglected to say that it would also hurt more than a bit. Then he compounded it a bit more by asking me if I wanted to watch on the monitor. Sadistic git.

Went to get a breakfast bagel from The Golden Bagel in Rayleigh only to find they have shut up shop🥲

Returning from a lovely weeks holiday in Weymouth today, traffic better than expected on A31/M3 then hit the M25, oh dear!.
Car fire at J8, 4 yr old big Mercedes front section & windscreen totally destroyed. Took 20 mins to get through that, then signs flashing that 10 min delay getting through the Dartford tunnel. Er, more like 1/2 hr & this was around mid-day.
Where is everyone going?. Lakeside or holiday traffic returning to Essex?. We joined the queue at J2, heard on radio at 3pm it was back to J4!. Madness.
3 1/2 hr journey there last Sat, 4 1/4 hr return today, oh what joy!.

Similar thing happened to us a few weeks back, had an amazing holiday in California and Hawaii, got back to Heathrow and it took 30 minutes just to get out the car park then ran straight into an accident that closed the M25 for 45 minutes around J17/18. Finally got past that only for there to be another accident at J25 Holmesdale Tunnel which again closed the M25 in both directions for two hours which meant a hasty diversion through north London.

At last we got back to Eastwood 3 and a half hours or so later only to find our stretch of Rayleigh Road was closed off for resurfacing which meant a diversion around the service road at Rochford Corner.

Had to endure a Gatwick drop, off today. M25 deserted. Tunnel back up to civilisation carnage. No idea why. no accidents. Minimal traffic until J3.
Exactly what it was for us, no reason for it. There were more than a few lane changes who cause blips and slow everyone but not enough for the chaos.

Would suggest going to Clacton for your next holiday!.

Haven't got a clue about what one would cost?. Guess it depends on how old the taxi is, & whether cost effective to replace it, or purchase another vehicle?.

About £3k! Has to be done, it still has two years finance on it and is relatively new. Old engine had done 128k miles which is, apparently, good going - they're not built last as much as they used to be.

Inconsiderate arseholes who don't believe they need to signal when entering or leaving a roundabout. Not to worry, the rest of us can just guess where you're going. Total tossers!
